Moonlight Residence
Aēform's Moonlight Residence results from an entire remodelling project intended to turn a heritage bone home into a dynamic modern living space. The design is showcased in a refined manner allowing to enjoy natural sunlight to flood through the interiors. The design team wanted to maintain the simplicity of the original home's layout and echo the Treasury Building's characteristics. Ocher yellow, olive green and gold colours form the basis of the overall theme of the interior. This was one of the key factors that guided the design process organically.
Creating a large open living area that becomes the centre of the home is what we envisioned from the beginning. It's uniquely framed by a terrace that is surrounded by the iconic plane trees that still let an abundance of natural light stream in.
A stunning visual feature inside the new kitchen can be seen in the combination of marble countertops, olive green tiles and the terrazzo wall, which highlights a warm and modern tone.
Social interactions in the interconnected living spaces are also encouraged and enabled by the arrangement of each area. With this composition, the team created an exclusive lounge area that links every room and got all the features to retreat.
Various sensory experiences are implemented to create a strong connection with the design of the surrounding buildings by bringing the outdoors inside the home.
Storage was carefully considered so things could be packed away and the spaces easily maintained.
A great deal of care was taken to preserve the original patterns and characteristics of the original home, which was sought to complement rather than duplicate.
Every new area is intended to give off an atmosphere of comfort and space. The house's proportions were also carefully considered to ensure every room was connected and got exclusive features. The views of the Treasury Building and the city could be enjoyed.
Creating a perfect synergy of the warm and airy ambience of the indoor spaces sets the breathtaking home apart.
The glass-iron door in the office room allows for more light in the working area while also strengthening the connection to the hall.
Moonlight Residence pays homage to and celebrates the craftsmanship in the original art-nouveau bones while also reinstating its functionality and aesthetics.
